Karigan has been suspended from her elite school.
Deciding to run away she takes off on foot headed home. A horse and rider burst upon her in the great forest. The rider has 2 black arrows in his back and with his last few breathes makes her swear an oath to finish delivering a dire message to the king. Immediately I liked Karigan, enjoyed the 16th, 17th century set-up, adventures, magic, bravery, etc. I liked the idea of the "Green Riders" and also "The Weapons". A fun fantasy read! It is the first in a series and so I have just bought the 2nd and am starting it!
I would give this 4 stars for a fun read!
