Loved it! Calpurnia grows up in the hot hand of Texas and there discovers her love of the world around her and her mysterious Grandfather! Wonderfully told story, you must read this Newberry Winner!
As you read remember to sit back and enjoy - it's not an adventure, drama, romance or fantasy - it's the real thing - her life and the pure joy of it!
I highly recommend this book to those who love a great story - but especially girls like Calpurnia - age 12 and discovering life!
