THE VINEYARD

Discover a way to help people all over the world!
With only a few minutes to give, here is a service I love doing!
It is simple, plus I can drop it mid-work and pick it up a week later!
There is so much work to do - thus the harvest is ripe, and the workers are needed!
 Check it out yourself!

THE VINEYARD has a varity of ways you can serve on-line.

  • Family History Indexing
  • Translating church Publications
  • Prepareing Church Media for Publication
  • Translations
  • and more!
Lots of variety for lots of personalities and people with different time schedules!  On-line means on your time, whenever you can, and as much as you can!

This is an amazing place to spend some time one some things that matter most!

BE HAPPY!

Music for the Sabbath Morning

This morning as soon as I pulled my self out of bed I slipped this cd in.  I just love the feeling and spirit it gives me.  Immediately I am in the mood for a Sabbath Morning.

It is a collection of beautiful songs arranged with the idea of preparing for the Sacrament.  My absolute favorite is the first - "Sabbath Morning".   One reason I enjoy this cd is the variety - how it can be solo or from the choir, or part of a choir.  The arrangements are all done by the Jenny Phillips Choir.  Some of the other songs are: Precious Savior, The Lord is my Shepherd, Jesus of Nazareth, I Need Thee Every Hour,  Sweet hour of Prayer, etc.

I highly recommend this cd to help set the tone for your Sabbath Morning! (although I cheat and play it Sabbath afternoon too)

JANUARY is CLEANING MONTH

Now that January is here - snow is out there - I think I shall clean, clean, clean ( well at least a little bit more )

I love this idea from the blog http://cleanmama.blogspot.com/
She has given us a JANUARY CLEANING CHART!

This chart includes normal cleaning duties - but what I love about it is:
  1. SIMPLE
  2. A Deep Cleaning for Each Day - 15 min.- EASY
Be sure to check her blog - print the free "January is Cleaning Month" and you are ready for a sparkly clean house!

Having Fun with Old

Did you ever notice how cute old stuff is?  Don't throw out all those treasures!  Simply experiment - and find unique decor with a lot of character!

There are so many shapes in old cutting boards!  Find a few and make a collage on the wall!
If you have a piece you love - keep your eyes open for another piece or two, SMALL groupings look great and bring more attention than a single item!

Baskets can be spray painted with a flat paint to spruce them up for any room!

My personal Favorite - Cast Iron Book Ends!  They look great in a bookcase, on top of a shelf, ANYWHERE!

Don't let those OLD treasures go, have fun finding them a home!  :)

How to Start a Book Club

I love book club!  There is something so rich about reading - something so sweet about sharing what you read that it is even better than consuming your favorite dessert!

10 DAY CHALLENGE

OUCH! I stepped on the scale (although I didn't really need to do that- I already knew)and I'm over my median. Okay, so instead of jumping into a diet that makes me hate healthy food by the time I suffer through it, I am just going to realign, and put myself back on course.

Thus the 10 DAY CHALLENGE - 10 Days of NO SUGAR.

Now I am not a psycho who thinks I can actually do NO SUGAR completely. I simply mean no sugar as in no treats and sweets. For 10 days I will pretend there are no cookies, no candy, no desserts etc. 10 days, I can do that. It's not a month, it's not even 2 weeks. Just 10 days! Okay, the part that will make it work? REPORTING! Look below at 2 charts. The first is a page of snacks I do like, and so I will post this on my fridge as a reminder to me - and suggestions for my snack yearnings. 2nd is a 10 day check off chart! Okay, HERE I GO!!!!   10 Day Challenge.no sugar Pictures of Healthy Snacks.refrigerator Post
